Eye Studio feels like a world apart. Nestled on an old farm at the end
of a dead end street, you turn down the lane andthink, "City? There's
no city!" You know you've arrived in a magical and creative space.
Studio A stands tall at the back of the lot at 6585. That building houses
the studio of mixed media artist, Judy Gardner and the dark room of photographer,
Fred Reim. Across the street at 6440 is The Alembic, an art hub with a
printmaking studio, gallery and classroom, along with the studios of several
artists. At 6595, at the end of the street, Andrew Simpkins has built
his own amazing home/studio/gallery space, making W 62nd Place a truly
one stop studio tour.
